Ratification SPSCCexempt

Negotiations concluded April 30th for the 2019-2021 SPSCC Exempt Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The AFSCME/WFSE South Puget Sound Community College Exempt Staff tentative agreement for the 2021-2023 contract achieves several major goals identified by the bargaining unit as priority items:

  • The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) ensures delivery of any Cost of Living Allowances passed by the state legislature over the biennium – See Article 40; Shared Split of Budget Close: Approx. $1,000 each for 2021; - See Article 40; Expanded definition of family member for paid sick leave; - See Article 14;  Standardized and eased process for reimbursement on employer-cancelled vacations; - See Article 13; Extended discrimination protections; - See Article 2; Ability to file a grievance for Employer violations of contractual rights; - See Article 31; Plus there were notable gains to other non-economic articles.
  • The contract HOLDS THE LINE ON HEALTH CARE COSTS with the current 85/15 premium rate. You will continue to pay 15 percent of your health insurance premiums.

Because of these achievements, your South Puget Sound Community College Exempt Bargaining Team recommends that you ACCEPT this Agreement.
