Paula Lukaszek is a plumber at the University of Washington. She was elected to her first full term as Treasurer in 2019 at the AFSCME Council 28/WFSE 48th Biennial Convention and was reelected at the 49th and 50th conventions. She believes in being fiscally responsible and using our members’ dues money to help locals with their issues and concerns. Lukaszek became a Council 28 member in 2003. She is president of Local 1495, serves on the council's Higher Education Policy Committee, and is vice chair of the Skilled Labor and Trades Committee. She is an active shop steward and a visible voice for workers at the University of Washington.
