Previous Cycle Final Bargaining Update-September 10, 2020

Negotiations concluded September 1, 2020 for the 2021-2023 Collective Bargaining  Agreement.  WFSE/AFSCME “The Eastern Washington University” classified staff tentative agreement for the 2021-2023 collective bargaining agreement provided for protection of the status quo.

Impacts of COVID-19

COVID-19 has decimated budgets of both our General Government and all Higher Education.  Your bargaining team was faced with unprecedented budget constraints and active layoffs during the bargaining of the next contract.  With facts of layoffs and budget cuts the team decided the best course of action was to negotiate an extension of the 2019-2021 CBA.
