TAM Workers United on the Move!

Workers at Tacoma Art Museum seeking to join WFSE are making things happen:

  • 675+ supporters have signed a community letter calling on the museum to voluntarily recognize their union
  • 150+ community members attended their rally on 10/29 outside the museum (pictured above)

But despite these early successes and over 80% of TAM workers in support of unionization, the museum has not recognized their union.

They need WFSE members' help!

Why TAM workers want a union

  • The museum caps workers' hours to avoid paying health benefits.
  • Many museum employees are forced to work second jobs to make ends meet.
  • Employees have witnessed financial mismanagement for years and have not been able to address it because they do not have a voice on the job.

TAM workers want to unionize to create a more equitable future for TAM and Tacoma.
