Kodi Gaddis


Kodi Gaddis was elected to his first term as secretary in 2021 at the AFSCME Council 28/WFSE 49th Biennial Convention. Gaddis is passionate about centering social justice in union work and organizing.

A member of WFSE since 2008, Gaddis is a Social and Health Program Consultant 2 at the Community Services Division (CSD) within the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).

Gaddis is currently the president of WFSE Local 443 and chief shop steward for DSHS within his local. He has served in numerous roles within WFSE, including the Executive Board, Organizing Committee, Scholarships Committee, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee, and more.

He was awarded the 2019 Organizer of the Year at the 48th AFSCME Council 28/WFSE Biennial Convention and has organized in Nevada, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC to help engage workers with their union.

When not fighting for the rights of working people, Gaddis enjoys photography, learning to cook new foods, and spending time with family, friends, and his cat, Izzy.

Gaddis continues to work full-time with DSHS while fulfilling his duties as council secretary.
